Most congressional Jews are Democrats

90%, actually

As of 2025, approximately 90% of Jewish members of Congress are affiliated with the Democratic Party. This group includes 15 Senators and 29 Representatives.

I conducted original research. My list is more comprehensive than the partial ones from Pew Research or JTA, which have several omissions. The list also accounts for Congress members who are married to Jewish individuals.

Although Senator Cory Booker is not Jewish, he said quite proudly in a speech at Yale University, “I want to stand here as a Christian goy.”
